Setup Bigpond Email on Samsung Galaxy Phone or TAB

This guide will help you to setup Bigpond email account on Samsung Galaxy phone or tab.

Also this will aplly to any android phone or tab. Bigpond is currently looking to move its email to windows live. So first of all check if your account has been migrated to windows live or not.

To check this you can go to your bigpond webmail and use your login details and check if your account has been migrated.

If your account has not been migrated then use below settings to setup Bigpond email on samsung.

Incoming mail server
Host / Server Name:	mail.bigpond.com
User Name:	your email address
Password:	Bigpond Password
SSL / Security Type:	Leave it untick
Server Port:	110
Outgoing mail server
Host / Server Name:	mail.bigpond.com
User Name:	Your email address
Password:	Bigpond password
SSL / Security Type:	On / SSL - Accept all certificates
Authentication / Require Sign In:	Password / Yes
Server Port:	587 (iPhone) or 465 (Android)

User Name:	your email address
Password:	Bigpond password
SSL / Security Type:	On / SSL
Server Port:	995
Outgoing mail server
Host / Server Name:	smtp.live.com
User Name:	your email address
Password:	Bigpond password
SSL / Security Type:	On / TLS
Authentication / Require Sign In:	Password / Yes
Server Port:	587
