windows 8 Error 8024800a

When i tried to update my windows 8 first time i got error message windows 8 update error 8024800a

After spending about 3 hours i found solution and thought other windows 8 user have same issue.

Follow below steps if you get error " windows 8 update error 8024800a " during updates.

First of click Start  (Windows 8 does not have start button. so press windows key and R key together)

Type: cmd 

Now type under cmd windows: net stop wuauserv (This will stop update service)

Hit Enter

Type: ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old (This will change folder name)

Hit Enter

Type: net start wuauserv (This will start windows update service)

Hit Enter

Now exit from command windows and try to update windows again. It should work now.
